Resize Signature to 20KB

The tool below is already set to the signature size behind almost every “20KB” instruction: 140 × 60 pixels, inside the 10–20 KB band that SSC and IBPS publish. Add your signature photo, crop it tight, and download a file that passes.

“To 20KB” really means a band: 10–20 KB

When a form or a fellow candidate says a signature should be “20KB”, the actual rule on the SSC and IBPS portals is a band: the file must be no smaller than 10 KB and no larger than 20 KB, at exactly 140 × 60 pixels, as a JPG. Both edges of that band reject files. Candidates who shrink their signature with a generic compressor often land at 5 or 6 KB — beautifully small, and firmly refused, because the portal reads the size as a sign the image may be too poor to verify.

This page removes the guesswork. The preset is fixed to the band before you start: the tool first crops your signature to the exact 140 × 60 shape, then encodes it at the highest quality that fits under 20 KB. If the picture still falls below 10 KB — common for a clean, tight signature — it adds invisible padding data inside the JPEG file until the size enters the band. Your strokes are not redrawn, stretched or blurred; the file simply weighs what the portal requires, and the result panel confirms the band in plain words before you download.

One caution: sign the way you sign on documents. The uploaded signature is compared with the one you make on the exam-day attendance sheet, so resist tidying it into something neater than your real signature.

Frequently asked questions

What does “resize signature to 20KB” actually mean for SSC and IBPS?

It means the 10–20 KB band at 140 × 60 pixels. SSC and IBPS do not accept just any file under 20 KB — a 6 KB signature is rejected for being below the 10 KB minimum. The tool on this page is preset to that band and lands your file inside it, padding invisibly if the picture alone is too small.

My signature came out at only 5 KB. Is that a problem?

For SSC and IBPS, yes — their minimum is 10 KB. A clean signature on white paper naturally encodes very small at 140 × 60 px. This tool detects that and adds harmless padding data inside the JPEG until the file reaches the band; the signature image itself is not changed.

My portal asks for a signature under 10 KB instead. What should I use?

Use the Resize Signature to 10KB page instead — it applies a maximum of 10 KB with no minimum, still at 140 × 60 pixels. If your notification lists different dimensions, the main Signature Resizer has a Custom preset where you can type them.
